Health Minister dedicates 22 Medical Institutions to people and lays foundation stone of 21 institutionsJaipur, October 18 Health Minister Dr. Raghu Sharma inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of various medical institutions in seven districts (Ajmer, Bhilwara, Dausa, Jaipur, Churu, Bikaner and Sriganganagar) in the State on Tuesday. Approximately Rs 17.24 crore was spent on 22 works dedicated to the general public, whereas the foundation stone of 21 works was laid to be built with a cost of Rs 20 crore.The Health Minister virtually inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of various institutions. He said that work of the buildings of 21 medical institutions would be started at a cost of approximately Rs 20 crore. These works include the construction of 5 Primary Health Centres, 10 Sub-Centres, aTrauma Centre, 2 Urban Primary Health Centres, 2 TB Hospitals and a Regional Vaccine Store.Sharma said that similarly, the construction of buildings of 22 medical institutions with a cost of Rs 17.24 lakh has been completed. Out of newly constructed medical institutions, 5 Primary Health Centres, an Urban Primary Health Centre, 13 Sub-Centres, 2 Sewerage Treatment Plants and construction of Sewer Line, a 50-bedded MCH Unit were completed. He said that a population of around 14.20 lakh would get the benefit of a better medical facility with the completion of these construction works.The Health Minister said that the State Government has left no stones unturned in strengthening the basic infrastructure of medical institutions despite the corona pandemic. He said that all preparations are being done in the State to combat the third wave of corona. Better medical facilities are being provided by selecting 332 Community Health Centres in the State. The number of beds in NICU, PICU and SNCU in the Children’s Hospitals in the State is constantly being increased. Oxygen plants are being set up at 400 places to overcome the shortage of medical oxygen in the State, from which 1000 metric tonnes of oxygen will be supplied in the coming days. Overall, the medical foundation is being strengthened continuously in the State.On this occasion, more than 20 MLAs were invited including Industry Minister Shri Parsadi Lal Meena, Minister of State for Health Dr. Subhash Garg, Minister of State for Higher Education Shri Bhanwar Singh Bhati, Minister of State for Women and Child Development Smt Mamta Bhupesh. Mission Director Shri Sudhir Sharma, Director Public Health Dr KK Sharma, Chief Engineer Shri VK Meena and Additional Director Shri Govind Pareek from the Directorate along with Chief Medical and Health Officers, Principal Medical Officers and Civil Wing officers from other districts joined the programme.&&&&
