Directions given for maximum testing and sampling to prevent dengueJaipur, October 30.Health Minister Dr Raghu Sharma has directed to do maximum testing and sampling for the prevention of seasonal diseases and dengue. He also directed for the availability of testing kits and medicines, door-to-door survey in the affected areas and effective implementation of anti-larvae and IEC activities. He said that if the number of patients is more, then the beds will be made available as per the requirement in the medical institutions in the concerned areas.Dr Sharma through video conferencing was reviewing the progress of departmental preparations on seasonal diseases, corona vaccination and testing and other subjects with the officers of the health department on Saturday. He said that the number of patients will certainly increase by increasing the testing, but there is no need to panic. With more number of testing, the patients can be identified sooner and their treatment can be started.Dr Sharma said that due to an increase in the number of patients in the State, the department will have to be on complete alert mode. He also directed the officers to coordinate with the local bodies in the affected areas for fogging, focal spray, larvae demonstration and distribution of mosquito nets. He also directed for effective monitoring of control rooms and rapid response teams set up in all the districts.The Health Minister said that more than 2 crore people have been administered the second dose of the covid vaccine, but this number is not sufficient. According to the World Health Organisation (WHO) and experts, we can develop immunity to fight corona only by administering both doses. He said that 82.5% people in the State have been administered the first dose and 46.8% people have been administered both doses. He said that sero-surveillance is being done by selecting 14 districts in the State to detect the antibodies generated in the people after the covid vaccines. The Health Minister reviewed in detail the Covid vaccination, Covid sampling and the works of the health department in Prashasan Gaon and Sheharon ke Sang campaigns. He reviewed Mukhyamantri Nirogi Rajasthan starting from November 14, Chiranjeevi camp, Shudh ke liye Yudh, progress of registration in Mukhyamantri Chiranjeevi Swasthya Bima Yojana, employing Chiranjeevi Mitra, sero-surveillance and other subjects and gave necessary directions.Health Secretary Shri Vaibhav Galriya gave necessary directions to keep the seasonal diseases under control to all officers in the virtual meeting that went for four hours. He said that there would be no shortage of beds, medicines, or any other facilities in the medical institutions.SMS Medical College Principal Dr Sudhir Bhandari expressed his views in the meeting. Director Public Health Dr KK Sharma, Principals of all the Medical Colleges, Superintendents of hospitals, CMHOs, PMOs and other officers were present in the meeting.
